Synopsis: Since the inception of corneal cross-linking, a variety of protocol modifications have been developed, each hoping to achieve equivalent success with the Standard protocol using shorter treatment durations with higher fluence, higher total irradiance, and or modifications to the method of riboflavin delivery. This lecture will address the science behind current practice and discuss what we do and do not yet know about corneal cross-linking.
