Most laser vision corrections performed world-wide are based on manifest sphero-cylinder refraction and some by wavefront refraction. However the correspondence between corneal and refractive cylinder is variable and often significantly so. Topography guided treatments are no more effective in resolving the conflict
This symposium will discuss various paradigms to deal with these differences to include both corneal and refractive parameters in the treatment plan and thus avoid potential adverse outcomes where differences are significant.
