Synopsis: Macular pigment measurement was introduced particularly for age related macular degeneration. However recent publication shows how the amount of macular pigment can change in many diseases particularly when cone Mueller cells are suffering. The presentation will discuss the different methods for measuring macular pigment and when this measurement can be useful for disease diagnosis.
