Patients are often required to position face down after vitreoretinal surgery for macular hole and retinal detachment repair for days to weeks. This is often challenging for many patients and can cause significant distress. We developed a patient information video that demonstrates how to position face down in a variety of positions to improve patient confidence and comfort after surgery.The video is presenter is computer generated, which decreases the funding required for production and allows the video to be easily produced in many languages, with- out compromising quality or rapport.
