This session will focus on issues of ethics and professionalism that face all ophthalmologists as they run their businesses. Your relationship with industry, collaborative partners and the regula- tory authorities will be explored. The rise of defensive medicine and the main reasons you might be sued will be covered. Anyone who undertakes, or is considering undertaking, international development or outreach work will also be interested to hear about ethics and professionalism within these spaces.
