Aim: This symposium will highlight recent advances in research and clinical management of thyroid associated orbitopathy, and apply experts knowledge in discussing complex and challenging cases.
The speakers for this symposium are local and international experts in the field of oculoplastic, who will discuss new concepts including disease mediating cell type in the orbit, animal models of thyroid eye disease, trend of medical treatment including an update on recent clinical trials on immuno-modulating drugs and in-depth discussion of various techniques of lower eyelid lengthening surgery. The symposium will end with panel discussion of complex and challenging thyroid eye disease cases which will illustrate the heterogeneous nature of the disease and individual management according to disease severity, stage and progress
